Rotational Molding Hall Of Fame
Please join us in recognizing this year’s honorees at the Tenth Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, to take place during the Gala Dinner & Awards Presentation on the evening of Tuesday, October 9, 2007. The Rotational Molding Hall of Fame is dedicated to the recognition of rotational molders, suppliers and industry professionals. This award is the highest honor ARM International bestows on a single individual for outstanding service, accomplishments and contributions to further the growth of the rotational molding industry.
Student Design Competition
Winning entries of the 2007 Student Design Competition will be on display in the tabletop exhibits area for your examination. These have been judged to be some of the most promising student designs for future rotationally molded products based on design features, manufacturing practicality and technical merits. The winners will be invited to attend the awards presentation.
Rotationally Molded Products Competition
All meeting attendees will be given a chance to examine the products on display and to vote for their favorites, in each of the five competition categories –
Innovative State-of-the-Art
This category represents entries that show a significant departure from established rotomolding practice.
Conversion
This category represents entries that must be converted from some other material or process to rotational molding.
Large Project
This category represents entries that have one continuous dimension of 72 inches.
PVC
This category represents entries that display the versatility and uniqueness of Polyvinyl Chloride to the application.
Recycled Award
This category represents entries that meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 15% content by weight of post-use materials. (Post-use is defined as "material that comes from products which are no longer used"; also called PCR and PIR. The use of in-plant regrind rotomolding resins is excluded.)
- Recycled content can be uniformly spread throughout the part or may be concentrated in one or more components (e.g., 100% in the lid of a container).
- The part will be partially judged on the level of recycled resin content. The balance can be any virgin or regrind resin.
- Judgment will also be rendered based upon the application of the three "R" principles(reduce, re-use and recycle).
- The part needs to be functional (i.e., sufficient strength to serve its purpose).
- Depending upon the entries received, some confidential certification may be required as to resin type, origin, and content.
Product of the Year
This category represents entries from all categories as this year's best product.
