June Regional Meetings Draw Rave Reviews!
We have now completed our June 2009 Regional Meetings, which brought educational sessions, networking opportunities, and trouble-shooting discussions to California, Pennsylvania and Illinois. The regional meetings combined convenient locations, affordable pricing and valuable information to exceed the expectations of our members.
Buena Park, California
Registrants were treated to presentations on design, machinery, tooling, dry-blend, pulverizing and supplier qualifications. Representatives from CARB were in attendance to answer questions about current and forthcoming emissions standards.
Attendees thought the hotel was a "great location in terms of convenience" and appreciated having a meeting that required little travel. Others noted they were already looking forward to attending the 2010 Western Meeting.
Williamsport, Pennsylvania
Penn College conducted a two-day hands-on meeting proudly co-sponsored by ARM International. Topics included different moldable materials and their properties, mold use and abuse, heating and cooling, and more.
"This was the best seminar/hands-on workshop I've attended in years," said Terrance Gillian of Paladin Sales. "I and about 25 others were very impressed. We all learned valuable information that could be applied immediately back at the shop."
Rolling Meadows, Illinois
Attendees listened to sessions on resin choice, tooling, controlling wall thickness and more. The What's Your Problem? discussion opened the floor for all attendees to troubleshoot topics of their choice and was a favorite among many popular presentations.
Survey respondents noted "I thought everything was well presented and certainly came away with a better understanding of what we could do to better our process." One registrant called the Midwest Meeting the "best meeting that I have attended." 100% of survey respondents said that the Midwest Meeting met or exceeded their expectations.
